We are a voluntary professional body of Town Planning practitioners (Town Planners and Town Planning Technicians) drawn from central government (Department of Physical Planning), local authorities (city councils, town councils, local boards and rural district councils) as well as private companies, private practice and non-governmental organisations and students in tertiary institutions (Universities and Polytechnics).
Our primary existence is to advance the science and art of local and regional planning for the benefit of the public.
